Welcome to Baya Biltong! We’re a family-owned business, passionate about sharing the rich traditions of South Africa with the world. Our journey began with a family Biltong recipe passed down from our beloved Oupa (Afrikaans for “grandfather”), who taught us the art of working with meat, blending spices, and creating mouthwatering biltong for everyone to enjoy.
To this day, our biltong is crafted with the same love and care that Oupa instilled in us. Made exclusively from USDA-certified meat, our products are completely pork-free and contain no preservatives or added sugars. Whether you’re craving the bold kick of our Spicy Chili Bites, the classic taste of traditional Droëwors, or the rich flavors of our signature Biltong, we have something for everyone.

We use our legendary family recipe passed down from our South African Oupa. Our beef is grass-fed and locally sourced in the U.S., and every batch is handcrafted in small quantities. No preservatives, no sugar, just authentic biltong.

Unopened, Baya Biltong is shelf-stable and doesn’t need refrigeration.
Once opened, we recommend refrigerating it and consuming within 3–5 days for peak flavor and freshness. (Though let’s be honest—it usually doesn’t last that long.)
